Various internal organs can be affected by Scleroderma in those with the diffuse type. One of the most common internal organs affected are the lungs – a condition called interstitial lung disease (ILD).
As of July 2025, BI:SAP support program is an initiative by Boehringer Ingelheim (Philippines) Inc. The program provides a free CT scan for Scleroderma patients suspected of having ILD. In addition, patients who have ILD are given special medication support.
