A Journey of Faith

Since being diagnosed during the pandemic, Ms. Leslie Ureta experienced major changes in all aspects of her life, but has since found strength and faith in her God, one who makes miracles possible. Scleroderma has changed the trajectory of her life— a journey that has made her closer to her family and God.

A Higher Purpose

Despite living with the condition for nearly two decades, Dr. Ortiz managed to advance her career and to take care of her family. As one of the founders of Scleroderma Awareness Philippines, a support and advocacy group for Filipinos with Scleroderma, her story offers a powerful reflection on resilience, faith, and service.

A Future Hope

Things have changed since the time Coleen Velasco had been diagnosed in 2007 at the young age of 12. Living past the predicted “end” of her life, Coleen discovered her calling. As an active educator and advocate of Scleroderma Awareness, Coleen represents the hopes for the future of people living with Scleroderma.
